Polk’s new Forecast of Commercial Vehicle Activity provides indispensable insight into the outlook for Commercial Vehicles, by class, for classes 3-8. This valuable offering contains annual projections of new commercial vehicle registrations, scrappage rates and commercial vehicles-in-operation (VIO) at a national level.

This forecast is based on Polk’s fact-based predictive modeling, an in-depth analysis of the vehicle population and proprietary econometric models to determine how the commercial truck industry will react to changes in economic conditions. The result is a better understanding of vehicle populations, ages and scrappage rates across all model years.

Customers of the Polk Commercial Vehicle forecast are eligible to receive a six-month update to the forecast to better understand the impact of near-term business environment and economic changes on long term commercial vehicle activity.
