LONG BEACH, Calif. (Feb. 24, 2004) - R. L. Polk & Co. today announced the appointment of Patricia Gaulin as vice president, Toyota OEM team. In this role, Gaulin will be responsible for directing the overall profitability of Toyota within Polk’s OEM organization by managing the development, production, sale and delivery of products and services.

Gaulin joins Polk from NIC, Inc., a leading provider of electronic government services in the United States. While at NIC, Gaulin was responsible for leading a national sales team to secure several long-term contracts with state and local government. Prior to working at NIC, Gaulin managed the Ford Motor Company account as a Senior Account Manager at Ameritech, and later went on to consult for Ford on a major telecommunications outsourcing services project.

Gaulin held account executive, account management, and sales management positions at Ameritech and Michigan Bell Communications from 1985 to 1996. Gaulin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and is active in the National Governor’s Association and Women Executives in State Government.
