Stephen Polk Receives Direct Marketing Association of Detroit Lifetime Achievement Award


SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Oct. 21, 2008) – Stephen Polk, chairman, president and chief executive officer of R. L. Polk & Co. has received the Direct Marketing Association of Detroit’s (DMAD) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes Polk’s exceptional contributions to the direct marketing industry and was presented at the DMAD Target Awards on Oct. 20 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. This premier event recognizes outstanding agency and marketer talent in Detroit.

“I am privileged to be presented with this award from this outstanding organization,” said Polk. “Being chosen for the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Direct Marketing Association of Detroit is a true honor.”

DMAD’s Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the direct marketing industry. The winner is selected by the DMAD board and must be innovative, made significant contributions to the industry, has a commitment to quality, ethical, shown a commendable level of competence and professionalism, a leader in the industry, has set a standard of excellence and has been in the direct marketing industry for a number of years.
