Polk Responds to Market Needs with Enhanced National Vehicle Population Profile Offering

Polk NVPP Online v1.2 offers added flexibility and analysis capabilities

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (June 14, 2010) – R. L. Polk & Co. today announced a new release of its National Vehicle Population Profile Online (NVPP®), the leading aftermarket industry solution for gaining insight into the ever-changing automotive market.

Polk NVPP Online v1.2 provides aftermarket customers with dramatically simplified and accelerated, enterprise-wide access to Polk’s industry standard vehicle population data. With more than 90 selection criteria to choose from, the new release offers the highest degree of flexibility for analyzing vehicle characteristics.

Users can now leverage Ward’s® original equipment build percentages, vehicle values, AAIA® industry standards, battery information, tire and rim sizes, as well as vehicle maintenance items such as oil capacity and change intervals. This expansive array of data mining options translates to unparalleled accuracy in catalog and inventory decision support.

This latest release of NVPP Online offers a wider array of information on more than 240 million passenger cars and light-duty trucks registered on the road, including exact makes and models of vehicles in a particular market, engine detail, body style, and information grouped by various levels such as ZIP code, DMA, state and other criteria. In addition, NVVP Online offers the ability to analyze information on cars and light-duty trucks in Canada and Puerto Rico.

Polk has been the industry leader in providing vehicle demographic information through its NVPP product for nearly 20 years. This new release is the latest in a series of planned enhancements following the initial launch of NVPP Online 1.0 last year.
