President, CARFAX
Dick Raines is President of CARFAX, a division of R. L. Polk & Co. Raines assumed leadership of CARFAX in 1993. Since then he has guided the growth of CARFAX from a small start up to the leading provider of vehicle history information in North America.
Before joining CARFAX, Raines held executive positions in various information businesses. From 1991 – 1993 he ran Blackburn Marketing Group’s U.S. operations which included Urban Decision Systems (demographics) and National Research Bureau (shopping center data). From 1986 to 1991 he worked at Claritas, a leading target market demographics company where he became Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Claritas Raines worked at MCI Communications.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. |
