Since 1990, Polk has joined automotive and related-industry executives out on the links at the L.A. Automotive Golf Open to help raise funds for the National Jewish Medical and Research Center.

Founded in 1899, the National Jewish Medical and Research Center is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit, independent, clinical and research medical facility. It is the only medical and research center in the United States devoted entirely to respiratory, immunologic, allergic and infectious diseases.
