Position Summary:
The ETL Developer will be responsible for the Design, Mapping, Testing and Implementation of Extract/Transform and Load Procedures. The Senior ETL Developer will need to ramp-up and produce quickly in a fast-paced environment with aggressive project demands.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform quality monitoring and trending on the Standardization process.
- Take necessary action to resolve quality problems.
- Obtain information about Polk’s minimum requirements for the file type.
- Receive and respond to requests through the Request Management process to create a new or modify an existing a Source Format Layout.
- Perform data analysis on source file data to verify that the metadata matches descriptions provided in the source file template.
- Perform data analysis to verify that the source file meets minimum data requirements as defined by Data Administration.
- Work with the requestor to resolve discrepancies identified during the data analysis.
- Responsible for the design of the ETL application and in the data analysis effort necessary to resolve issues uncovered related to source data.
- Responsible for mapping structures for ETL (extract, transform, load) processes using Informatica Power Connect and Detail
- Responsible for developing and unit testing each ETL mapping
- Responsible for following all ETL standards and architecture
- Responsible for assisting in the development, execution and documentation of system and integration test plans
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems with three + years experience using ETL/warehouse methodology.
- Senior level experience with ETL tools
- Proficient with data acquisition programming languages, including XML, SQL, and
- Familiarity with data cleansing methodology and tools – a plus
- Proficient with Informatica Power Center and Detail
- Proficient with data warehouse methodology (eg. Oracle repository)
- Understand source and target data structures
- Understand basic data warehousing and ODS issues, concepts and processes
- Understand all the principles, practices, and methods of data integration and cleansing
- Experienced in building various source/target extracts and data sourcing
