Position Summary:
The Manager of Data Factory Operations, Data Capture, ETL and Data Standardization will be responsible for developing tools, solutions, and processes to enable the Data Factory teams to provide day to day data operations services within Polk Global Automotive. This role requires a leader with flexibility, technical background, management experience, and outstanding decision-making skills, as well as direct management over skilled operations associates.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Confers with and advises subordinates on policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods assigns, directs, and coordinates team workload.
- Exercises the usual managerial authority concerning hiring, performance management, promotions, compensation, and discipline
- Analyzes the results of workflow plans, monitors the operating system(s) and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization.
- Manages subordinates in the processes of capturing data from multiple data sources.
- Manages subordinates in the processes if mapping source data into standard XML format.
- Create and Manage service level agreements
- Assigns personnel to projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports
- Responsible for ensuring the growth and development of direct reports and subordinate team members
- Ensures staff are cross trained to facilitate future support and transfer of knowledge
- Develops and maintains appropriate metrics
- Understands the use of strategic business goals and applies tactics to support the strategy
- Works independently on projects that interface with multiple departments
- Interacts with multiple business teams to keep current with key business objectives and customer issues
- Performs peer reviews and approves changes and enhancements to Environmental requests
- Reviews metrics for completeness of values, consistency of values over time, validity of business rule conformance, precision, timeliness, and currency

Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:
Position will have leadership and/or supervisory responsibility of a current team of 7-10
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA degree in business, engineering, computer science or related fielded (Masters preferred) or equivalent education and years of experience
- 7-10 years of management experience
- Able to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience and knowledge working within a service oriented environment
- Knowledge of Business Rules Engines with specific experience in one or more COTS solutions
- Knowledge of and experience with one or more Enterprise Application Tools (like TIBCO ESB, ILOG’s Jrules, Informatica’s Power Center, Dataflux, Web Methods and Jboss)
- Knowledge and experience with at least one Data Standardization Tool
- Knowledge and experience with Data Collection (Tumbleweed)
- Knowledge and experience with Data Mapping (Informatica-Power Center)
- Ability to be decisive and take into account consequences of decisions
- Demonstrated verbal and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to perform root cause analysis
- Established Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, and Access)
- Experience in developing and managing budgets
- Ability to inform, educate and influence managers and employees to support Data Factory goals and initiatives
