Polk employees enjoy the following additional benefits:

Paid Time Off
Eligible Polk employees receive paid time off as follows:

Holidays
Polk observes 10 paid holidays each year (Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day). Specific holidays subject to change.

Combined Time Off (CTO)
Polk’s paid time off policy provides time off for an employee’s vacation, illness and personal needs.

Bereavement Time
All regular employees are entitled to up to three days of bereavement time when they have experienced the loss of a close family member.

Jury Duty
Polk recognizes an employee’s civic duty when called to participate as a juror. Employees who are selected for jury duty will continue to earn their regular salary (for up to 15 days).


Pre-paid Legal Plan
Employees may participate in Polk’s pre-paid legal service plan. Covered services include, but are not limited to: wills, debt collection defense, document review and preparation, family matters, real estate matters and defense of civil lawsuits.

College Savings Plan
Employees may contribute to a college savings plan for their own education or for the future education needs of their children, grandchildren or whomever they choose.

Employee Assistance Program
All employees and their family members may benefit from Polk’s Employee Assistance Program, a 24-hour confidential counseling and referral service. In addition to three face-to-face counseling visits, employees can receive financial, legal and health & wellness resource assistance.

Long Term Care
Employees may purchase Long Term Care insurance for themselves, their spouse, parents or grandparents. This benefit will pay for services provided to the insured persons if they should become unable to care for themselves.

Parental Leave
New parents (who have worked for Polk for six months or more) are eligible to receive five paid days off or four weeks unpaid, in order to care for their new dependent child.

Tuition Assistance
Regular full-time employees pursuing a degree program that pertains to Polk’s business may be reimbursed the cost of tuition and lab fees (no administration or registration costs) plus one-half of the cost of books, for courses taken under an accredited program, when they obtain a grade of B or better.

Group Travel Accident Insurance
Regular full-time employees are provided with travel accident insurance, effective on date of hire, for business travel.
